Microsoft Dynamics 365 Adds New Feature to Boost the Warehouse Worker Efficiency.

Warehouse Management New Feature: Pause tasks in the warehouse management mobile app.

Have you ever wanted to conduct secondary tasks without losing the current task’s information while doing warehouse management? Did you ever have to leave the current pick flow midway to look for a particular item elsewhere?

If your answer is ‘yes’ to these questions, then here’s some good news for you!

D365 Warehouse Management recently added a new feature that allows the workers to save time by pausing the current task and carrying out parallel tasks without losing the information.

Let me explain.

Scenario: When a warehouse worker doing a sales picking flow arrives at a specific place, the requested item may no longer be available. Before, the only alternative was to abandon the current pick flow and conduct an item inquiry to see if more of that item was available elsewhere. As a result, the employee would lose their sales pick info and risk another worker grabbing and restarting the same picking activity also if the warehouse is big then the time taken to complete this pick will result in causing more inefficiency.

But not anymore.

Aimed at improving worker efficiency, the new feature launched by D365 allows the worker to pause the present operation and move to a secondary flow the item inquiry flow to discover a new location that holds the item, replenish it, and then resume sales pick work. There is no data loss, and warehouse pick work is more efficient.
